When we identify people in the flesh we use documents. We accept a driver license or a passport because they are hard to forge and are linked by a picture to the owner. The same can't be said of images of these documents. All the anti-forgery mechanisms are lost when we reduce a document to an image. You can't copy microprinting, holograms, and special paper and coatings. Do I have a medical degree from Cornell? No! But there is a solution.
